Application for Admission to Pittsburg State University

This track is for applicants who possess an undergraduate degree in either a business or a non-business field from an accredited university and who do not qualify for another admission track. This track is also appropriate for Kelce College graduates who earned their degrees more than two years prior to the admission application, and/or do not meet the 3.25 GPA requirement under the recent Kelce graduate track or experience requirements under the executive track.

For these applicants, a GMAT score, or equivalent GRE score, is required prior to the admission decision. The absolute minimum acceptable GMAT score is 450, or GRE equivalent. For admission, applicants must meet a minimum of 1,050 points based on the following formula: 200 times the overall undergraduate grade point average plus the GMAT score (the GRE equivalent must meet, or exceed, this targeted GMAT).

The GMAT/GRE requirement will be waived for recent business graduates of the Kelce College of Business subject to the following: the applicant must have an overall grade point average of 3.25 upon graduation with a BBA degree and the degree must have been earned within the last two years prior to the admission decision.

Master’s or doctoral degree holders from other fields who graduated from accredited universities may be eligible to apply without the GMAT/GRE requirement.

These applicants must submit an essay that details what the candidate seeks to gain from the attainment of the MBA degree from the Kelce College of Business. A current resume and two letters of recommendation are required under this track. Admission decisions under this track are selective and competitive. Qualified business professionals may be eligible to apply without a GMAT/GRE score. The applicant must provide documented evidence of at least five years of significant managerial experience and an accredited undergraduate degree.

The applicant must also write an essay which discusses his/her professional experiences and accomplishments as well as what the applicant seeks to gain from the attainment of the MBA degree from the Kelce College of Business. Finally, a current resume along with two letters of recommendation are required. Admission decisions under the executive track are selective and competitive.
