* Any non-native speaker of English must document English language proficiency by meeting one of the following requirements:
- Twenty-four transfer hours from an accredited post secondary institution in the United States that includes 3 hours of English Composition equivalent to Pittsburg State University English Composition 101 with a grade of "C" or better.
- Graduation from an accredited high school in the United States.
- Achieve at least a 21 ACT composite score/980 SAT.
- Minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 68 (internet based), 520 (paper based) or 190 (computer based).
- Completion of the Intensive English Program Academic Preparation Class at Pittsburg State University (IEP).
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band score 6 with a minimum score on each band of 5.5.
